a site-specific poetry installation series examining
beginnings &
endings

the boundaries
between physical
& im/
material losses
Over two months observing silence and dark in the sub-arctic boreal forests of Norway and the Finnish countryside of Hämeenkyrö, fractals in poems and pastel drawings emerged—
Re-membering:
Conditions of the womb.
The mid-Autumn harvest.
Witnessing:
The birth of a universe.
Oppressive systems on the brink of collapse.
She—‘a poet, writer, wife & mom’.
He—‘a nurse with great heart who took his dog everywhere’.
‘The End of a Binary Star System’, the final poem and title of the series, is a ‘reminder of what unites us’.
What remains, are poetic fragments:
grief, mythology,
& history
woven into
a tapestry of
reckoning.
