Once Upon ‍ ‍
‍ ‍A Time in the

Holocene

(4.54 billion-years ago—present)

Earth, 0, 0, 0

Before man could play with fire
the rivers were highways to the gods
Stretching lightyears past the sisters
hiding from hunter & his dogs

I wonder if they can hear us
through all the bombs & drones
I wonder if they will forgive us
for playing gods on earth

‘Once Upon A Time in the Holocene’ is an ongoing visual-poetic project (2026—present) witnessing the events of this geological epoch. Through encounters with nature, lines between myth, memory, truth, story, human and more-than-human dissolve.

Works engage with carbon chemistry, evolutionary biology, paleo-ecology, physics and wonder to re-member the entanglements around us, and re-imagine our possible future on Earth.
